| Alhaji Dr. Bamanga Tukur - Chairman |
Alhaji Bamanga Tukur is Chairman of BHI Holdings Limited and Executive President of the African Business RoundTable and Chairman of the NEPAD Business Group. Alhaji Tukur has held numerous national appointments in Nigeria, and has extensive experience in the country’s transportation and logistics systems.
From 1975 to 1982 he was the General Manager/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Ports Authority. In 1983, he was elected civilian Governor of the defunct Gongola State (Now Adamawa and Taraba States). Between 1993 and 1995, he was a member of the Federal Executive Council and the Honourable Minister of Industry of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is Honorary Life President of the West and Central Africa Ports Management Association, and member of various Chambers of Commerce in Nigeria.
He is also a member of the International Business Advisory Council (IBAC) of UNIDO, as well as being a member of the OECD Africa Investment Advisory Board. He was elected Chairman of the NEPAD Business Group in Monterry, Mexico in March 2002. In January 2002, Alhaji Tukur was conferred with the National Honour of the Commander of the Order of the Mono (COM) by the President of Togo, His Excellency President Gnassingbe Eyadema, in recognition of his contribution to business in Africa. He was appointed to the Ghana Investors Advisory Council by H.E. President John Agyekum Kuffuor of Ghana in June 2002.
In December 2003, he was conferred with the National Honour of the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) by His Excellency, President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria.
Alhaji Tukur was awarded the Doctorate Degree of Law (Honoris Causa) by the Benue State University, Makurdi, Nigeria; while the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology, Zaria, conferred on him the Institute’s Fellowship. He is married with children and holds the Traditional title of Tafidan Adamawa in Yola, Adamawa State of Nigeria.

| Hubert Danso - Vice Chairman |
Hubert is Vice Chairman of African Investment Advisory (AIA). In this role he has responsibility for business development and strategy.
Hubert joined AIA from ICC (the World Business Organisation) where he was the Senior Adviser for African Affairs and responsible for relations with international organisations.
During his tenure with ICC he organised high level stakeholder roundtables, initiated and led public-private partnership initiatives and advised on Foreign Investment projects.
Hubert successfully established ICC in Africa amongst key business and governmental organisations. He has worked with several captains of industry, Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, DFID, African Union, UNEP, UNCTAD, the World Bank, Commonwealth Business Council and African Business Roundtable.
Hubert spearheaded the design and establishment of the NEPAD Business Group - a coalition of leading international business organisations that support NEPAD goals. |

| Yaw Sarpong - Associate Director - Investment Banking |
Yaw was instrumental in the establishment of AIA's investment banking consultancy having been Head of the Investment Banking Division of Merchant Bank Ghana Limited (MBG) for 3 years.
He has extensive experience in the Ghanaian financial market place, through his involvement in numerous transactions while working at MBG.
Yaw joined MBG in 1992 having previously worked with the Austrialian and New Zealand Bank (ANZ). He has a broad appreciation of integrated investment banking services as well as an extensive background in privatisation work.
A few of the transactions he worked on during his years with MBG include the listing of the the first family owned company,Mechanical Lloyd Co. Ltd, on the Ghana Stock Exchange, the local Merger of BAT and Meridian Tobacco Limited (a subsidiary of Rothmans), the privatisation of the Social Security Bank Limited, the acquisition of SSB Bank Ltd by Societe Generale and the privatisation of Ashanti Goldfields.
Yaw is currently also the Managing Partner of YMS Capital Limited a management consultancy which focuses on the provision of services to clients in the following areas: Agro-processing, Banking and Real Estate.

| Ken Kwaku - Associate Director - Public Private Partnerships |
Ken heads AIA's training, projects and partnership work. He was formerly the Chief Representative, Africa at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) a part of the World Bank Group in Johannesburg.
Ken's personal Profile: 1965, studies in Land Economy, University of Science and Technology, Ghana; 1970, BA, McGill University; 1975, MA and PhD, University of Toronto; 1987, PMD, Harvard. Since 1976, with the World Bank Group; 1995-98, Adviser to the Minister of Trade and Industry of Namibia; currently, Chief Representative, Africa, Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, South Africa.

| Barbara James - Associate Director - Private Equities, Venture Capital |
Barbara directs AIA's Venture Capital and Private Equities business. Barbara is also on the Board of the African Venture Capital Association (AVCA). She is also a Director of Rem-all Industries, Alpha Fitness Centre and Ayimo (Nig) Ltd.
She has over 16 years experience in management, consulting and IT. She has led various project teams advising clients across a wide range of industries on Internet and technology enabled business strategies and solutions.
She was Head of E-Business at Mason Communications, a leading management consultancy in London specialising in telecommunications. Prior to joining Mason she was a senior manager at Deloitte & Touche where she helped set up the Deloitte & Touche European Secure E-Business Centre of Excellence. Prior to joining Deloitte & Touche, Barbara worked at CAFOD, the Catholic Fund for Overseas Development. She also worked as an IT Analyst for Abbey National, DP Advisors and Kittel Systems.
She is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Private Equity and Venture Capital in Africa. |

| Titus Edjua - General Counsel |
Titus is a legal consultant to the African Development Bank (ADB) and a Director of African Investment Advisory (AIA). In his role as consultant at the ADB, he works on a broad range of financing transactions involving both the public and private sectors throughout the continent.
Titus has also worked as a consultant to several UK based businesses, notably, Kroll Associates - the US giant - and McIvorGrant. Titus taught law at UK Universities (London, North London and Hertfordshire) and was for many years the editor of the Africa Financing Review. Titus believes in a broader view approach to law in Africa and uses his invaluable insight and practical transactional experience in Africa in helping clients successfully conclude deals.
He is a regular on the international conference circuit on issues dealing with business, finance and law in Africa. Titus holds a Ph.D degree in law from London University and is a member of the New York Bar. He is fluent in English and French. |
